Early ambient, folky, jazzy, proggy, whatever(?). Not to be confused the more recent band 'Synaesthesia', Synanthesia are a kind of more (or perhaps less) accessible Incredible String Band or Tyrannosaurus Rex, I think this was their only album; originally, I believe, intended as a concept album based on Greek mythology. Use of more acoustic instruments such as flute, vibraphone, oboe, violin, etc. gives the album an etherial feel and it is, to my meagre iintellect, is one of the better albums of the period. Sadly I had not played it for decades but while producing this web site I bought CD and guess what? Yes, I still think it's really good. This is a very rare copy of the original UK release.
