Well now, I guess I have to re-address who is my all-time favourite band; I have previously stated that it is the Rolling Stones but... Well actually it is still the Stones, however Pink Floyd come a very very close second (OK, so there's also Zeppelin and Tull). Nothing more to say than this and the other Roger Waters era albums are true prog/rock classics that will endure for centuries. I am amazed but heartened to see young adults, even kids, walking around with Pink Floyd t-shirts, baseball caps, etc. - I think one of the very few 60's (or any other period) bands that command this enduring respect.
Early UK release.
Inconsequential factoid: 'Piper at the gates of dawn' is thhe titlle of chapter 12 of Kenneth Graham's masterpiece 'The Wind In The Willows' (but you all knew that).
