Well now, I guess I have to re-address who is my all-time favourite band; I have previously stated that it is the Rolling Stones but.... Well actually it is still the Stones, however Pink Floyd come a very very close second (OK, so there's also Zeppelin and Tull). Nothing more to say than this and the other Roger Waters era albums are true prog/rock classics that will endure for centuries. I am amazed but heartened to see young adults, even kids, walking around with Pink Floyd t-shirts, baseball caps, etc. - I think one of the very few 60's (or any other period) bands that command this enduring respect.
I think I must be one of the few who went to see the flm, purely on the basis that Floyd were doing the soundtrack. Turns out that this was, in fact, the only reason to see the film.... ho hum. Original UK release.
