The Beach Boys - Smiley Smile/Wild Honey

2 albums on one CD. Smiley was highly criticised at the time because of the sense of incompleteness - intended originally as the much longer, more complex 'Smile' project which was eventually shelved with only a few songs making it to the cut down Smiley Smile and it ended up as a bit of a mishmash. However it does have Good Vibrations and Heroes & Villains - worth it just for those. It is an interesting album and has been reappraised as one of their better efforts. I may be biaised as I do think Brian Wilson was as good a songwriter as anything we produced in the UK (controversial!). Wild Honey, OK not their best but still a good album.
