Originally intended as a 'concept album' about the early days of John and Taupin, critics viewed it as a "clash between the singer's private and public faces". However, with superb tracks like 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' and 'We All Fall In Love Sometimes' this is still one of Elton John's iconic albums.
