One of the very few artists I actually grieved for when he died. I heard his first album before it was released in the UK as a friend had bought a copy back from Ccanada (along with Joni Mitchel's UK unreleased 'Songs To A Seagull'). Needless to say I bought the album as soon as it appeared over here and have been listening to it ever since (albeit on CD as soon as it came out). People sometimes talk about 'the soundtrack to my life'; well this one is near the top of the list.
