First release by ex-Bluesbreaker drummer Keef Hartley. Encouraged by John Mayall to start his own group, he formed the Keef Hartley band in 1969. A great blues, jazz and rock drummer I feel he was due far more success than he had. Even so Halfbreed and Battle of North West Six stand out as classic albums of the 60's and while going through a number of line-up changes, the band always showed superb musicianship and tight performances.
